NGC6992 Eastern Veil Nebula is part of a large supernova remnant in the Cygnus Constellation. This is a small part of a larger structure called the Cygnus Loop. The star responsible for the remnants exploded about 10,000 – 20,000 thousand years ago and is only 2400 light years away from Earth. Large enough in the sky that the full moon would fit side by side about three times in this image.
