IC5070 Pelican Nebula is an emission nebula in the Cygnus Constellation. This is a smaller section of the nebula showing off one of its more dynamic cloud forming regions in conjunction with a dense star field in the lower right corner. This nebula is a great representation of how dramatically the sky can change from one region to the other. On the right side of the frame, tens of thousands of stars can be seen clustered together in front of the nebula’s entangled gases and dust which seems to almost explode towards the left. Just imagine how many more thousands of stars are hidden behind this mega structure. As the frame moves further left, the vibrant hues of the blue oxygen gas can easily been seen behind smaller clouds of dust while mixing with the orange hydrogen and sulfurs. The Pelican Nebula offers an exquisite close up to some of the intricate compositions and interactions that are in the cosmos.
