M51 Whirlpool Galaxy, one of the most famous galaxies we can see due to its relative brightness and stunning features. At 25 million light years away, its near perfect top down pose allows us great insight to the details this galaxy has to offer. Not only do we see it interacting with NGC5195 (the tail) but a closer look shows us the reddish brown lines throughout the spirals as gas clouds are combining, creating star forming regions.
